Book: the Wisdom of Crowds
Interesting book but seems to be lacking something but I cannot say what.
Some of the examples seemed far fetched.
Yet one of those examples I thought far fetched, opened up a new way of thinging for me in a related situation...
This book seems like one to influence more on an unconscious level than on a conscious level.
I would have loved to see where the boundaries are when discussion causes group think and when it does not.
Main concept to keep in mind is that of local knowledge with bias and information.
Where the right aggregation.
With a diverse crowd averages out the bias and keeps the information. While a not-diverse crowd with the same bias, extrapolates the bias.
